Quality Control Process

Order Review → Incoming Inspection (IQC) → In-Process Inspection (IPQC) → Final Inspection (FQC) → Documentation & Dispatch

Order & Drawing Review

Technical Requirements: Confirm product type, size, pressure rating, connection type, and required movement.
Operating Conditions: Review service medium, pressure, temperature, and installation requirements.
Inspection Planning: Identify applicable standards, required tests, acceptance criteria, and documentation before production.

Incoming Quality Control (IQC)

Material Verification: Check material grades and identification against purchase specifications.
Dimensional & Visual Checks: Inspect relevant dimensions and visible surface conditions.
Document Review: Verify available material certificates and applicable heat or batch identification.

In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

Manufacturing Checks: Inspect forming, molding, reinforcement, welding, machining, or assembly at designated stages.
Critical Dimensions: Verify specified wall thicknesses, convolution geometry, connection dimensions, and overall length.
Process Records: Retain applicable inspection and production records according to the agreed quality plan.

Final Quality Control (FQC)

Visual & Dimensional Inspection: Check finished product condition, assembly dimensions, and connection alignment.
Marking & Identification: Verify product tags and other specified identification details.
Test Record Review: Confirm completion of required pressure, leak, or non-destructive testing before dispatch.

Inspection & Testing

Dimensional Inspection

Overall Dimensions: Check nominal diameter, overall length (OAL), and specified interface dimensions.
Flange Geometry: Verify bolt-hole quantity, pitch circle diameter (PCD), hole diameter, and flange orientation.
Tolerance Acceptance: Use approved drawings, purchase specifications, and applicable standards to determine acceptance limits.

Material Traceability

Material Certificates: Review available mill test certificates against specified material grades.
Heat & Batch Identification: Record applicable identifiers to support traceability between incoming materials and production records.
Inspection Documentation: Provide agreed material and inspection records according to order requirements and document availability.

Product-Specific Testing

Pressure Testing: Test pressure, duration, and acceptance criteria follow the applicable design requirements and approved procedure.
Leak Testing: Pneumatic or other specified leak tests are selected according to product design and service requirements.
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): PT, RT, or other specified methods may be applied to relevant welds when required.

Applicable Standards & Customization

Standards & Specifications

Metal Bellows Expansion Joints: EJMA Standards or EN 14917, where applicable to the design and service conditions.
Piping Systems: ASME B31.3 or other specified project codes where applicable.
Flanges & Connections: ASME B16.5, ASME B16.47, EN 1092-1, or other agreed dimensional standards.
Material Requirements: Applicable ASTM, EN, or other specified material standards are confirmed during technical review.

Custom Engineering

Drawing Review: Submit PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, or other agreed technical files for evaluation, subject to available engineering support.
Specification Confirmation: Confirm materials, dimensions, pressure and temperature conditions, movement requirements, and connections.
Inspection Coordination: Agree on testing, acceptance criteria, inspection hold points, and third-party inspection requirements before production.
